Projecting much?

Some people believe in ghosts and gnomes and whatnot. Fair enough. But when they claim that the skeptical, the non-believer and the rational people are simply afraid there might be something more, I can only conclude that is they who are afraid. Afraid they're wrong, believing in fairy tales as they do, and so the project their fears on others.

And if you're tempted to argue with them - don't bother. It's like talking to a brick wall, and the only thing that might make them snap out of it is a good bitch slapping by reality.

On a side note - why is there a need to believe there is more than this? Life after death, spirit worlds and whatnot? What's so scary about the fact that you are born, live, die and that's that?
